1st Place gets to choose from a
Starboard Windsurfer valued up to $2000 |
In 2009 Starboard once again won the PWA Constructors Title, and if the amount of time, research and development that went into the 2010 range is any indication, Starboard better start clearing some space on the mantle for the 2010 trophy.
In 2010 Starboard released the Quad which delivers more drive, more traction, the ability to generate more speed on the wave face, turn closer and tighter, ride more vertically with the ability where you want when you want. When going out through waves, the Quads also help you to stay upwind better than single or twin fin boards, therefore positioning you better to catch more waves.
Or if you are new to Windsurfing and want a board that is stable enough to learn on yet will grow with you as your windsurfing skills develop, the GO culd be the board for you. The extra width in these boards provides extra stability and early planing ability, as you progress the GO boards give you some of the most fun and widest wind range you can get from a windsurf board. With their full EVA deck, they provide exceptional comfort and the carry handles make them easy to transport.
Starboard has the ultimate range of windsurfing gear, including Wave, Freeride, Freestyle, Slalom, Speed, Race and Beginner.

Starboard Stand Up Paddle Board valued up to $2000 |
SUP Development has come a long way in the last 12 months. The Starboard R+D have been back and forth between Indonesia, Australia, Thailand, Peru and Hawaii all year, getting closer in the search for the perfect wave on the perfect board.
Starboard are just about to make some big announcements regarding the models in the 2010 range, it will be without doubt the most extensive and well put together collection of board shapes, technologies and options ever offered.
But there are some existing models that will carry through for another year like the excellent 10.5 x 30" Drive. The 10.5 provides an excellent balance between stability, manoeuvrability and glide. At 30 inches wide the smooth pintail and wide nose feels small on the wave and offers plenty of stability when paddling. The deck is flattened out for better foot grip and the rails are flattened down for a slightly sharper feel. Increased V numbers in the back foot area combine to produce a board with extreme drive and speed yet is loose and responsive.
Check out the current 2009 range or visit the website in December to see details of all 92 boards in the 2010 range. Check back in a few months to see details of the race boards, being launched mid season.

Severne Windsurfing valued up to $2000 |
Always searching for advances in materials and technologies to push the performance envelope of windsurfing, Severne have definitely managed to do that with their 2010 range of sails and accessories.
The 2010 Blade is a prime example of this.
* The weight of the sail has been radically reduced whilst durability has increased due to extensive use of a new cloth material eM3.
* Less seams in the main body panel has not only increased the vision through the sail, it has also increased durability.
* A custom finish technique to further reduce weight has been used for the cosmetic graphic by only using the insignia cloth on one side of the sail.
The Blade is a control orientated wave sail with plenty of low centered power for driving the board through turns. 100% X-ply construction and featuring the new e-series cloth eM3, the Blade is designed for riders looking for controllable power for use in any demanding conditions.
Severne sails cover every discipline with their 14 sail ranges, along with their high performance masts, booms and accessories.
