Canadian Optimist Championship - Another beautiful day of Nova Scotia sun and wind greeted the sailors today with a steady 15-20 knots of breeze.
After the team races yesterday, the young sailors were ready to hit the open waters off Backmans Island in Mahone Bay, NS. The leader board changed with Peter Ehvert dropping to third place overall with 35 points, Justin Vittecoq staying in second with 29 points, Jared Collinson moving into first with 28 points, and Coralie Vittecoq, sister of Justin, remaining in fourth with 37 points. Jared's brother Noah is now in sixth with 67 points. There is another brother/sister duo of Michael Wollmann who is in eighth, and his sister, Cecilia is in seventh.
