If your interests extend beyond the surf, seasons 1st motogp on at 4.30am AEDST. Way more exciting than boring prosession racing like F1 and V8 racing, they actually get to overtake!!!

Reigning champ, Aussie Casey Stoner, riding a Jap rice burner Honda after switching from Ducati, but will cheer him on regardless.

I'm in Doha to watch them and went out to the track to watch Fridays practice and last nights qualifying.

Great to watch on the tele and you probably even get a better view but the atmosphere at the track is amazing.

Todays 20 minute warm up is at six oclock and the main race starts at ten oclock tonight Doha time.... can't wait!!!!

Go Casey Stoner

Yep, definately looking foreward to the new Moto GP season.
Can't agree with you on your take on F1 and V8's. Last couple of years both been very exiting.
Nothing wrong with Japenese motorcycles.

One of the photo's we took last night.

Someone shouted something in Italian we couldn't understand from the grandstand, whatever it was put a big smile on Valentino's face.

Looks like you had a great viewing point Barry. To bad Caseys tyres faded at the end, but it looks like a great season with some tight racing.

Disappointed Ducati still seem to be off the pace.

More pics of the pit lane girls please!

Good camera work, in general.

Thanks for that, arrived early for a good spot and got some seats right in front of pole position
