Gerry Humpries fronting up the "Loved Ones" was argueably the "blackest" white singer around in 1965. I think the overdose of piss, drugs and wimmen got to him and shortened his career. There is a vid of his alleged last performance on You Tube. I did not post it because I prefer to remember them in their hey days.



Same song and same fate to Michael Hutchence of INXS.



Both a great listen think you or not??

Here is "The Loved Ones" with a song that made tem very popular. Unfortuantely no vid available except for a lot later performances.

Other well received numbers were "Sad Dark Eyes" and "Magic Box" which was the title of one of their albums.

Great clip. Love that raw 60's guitar sound...Similar sound to "the animals"..
