No he was having a dig at the boys up north but in a cowardly way. Reflex if you knew half as much as you think you do you would realize that a wind reading at an airport can be alot different to actual wind at the beach. I kite within 8kms of the Brisbane airport but the difference can be more than twice the reading that the airport shows. Grow up. If you want to have a go at someone at least be man enough to say it to them.

of instead of have is more annoying than wind exaggerations from kitesurfers - but both are really annoying.

I am sorry i claimed that the kitesurfing in 60 knots call may have been exaggerated - my bad.

As for having a go at &x22s;the boys up north&x22s; - i am not sure about that. I have actually kited in Townsville and reckon the crew there were really good value.

We drank some rum and coke together.

Back when you could buy inner circle rum and coke at 8% alcohol volume - yeehar!

Some guy nearly decapitated me at Pallaranda with his lines - but we had a laugh on the beach together afterwards - it turns out the poor guy was half blind &x28;and i don't mean drunk&x29;.

Primarily, he was having a go at the incorrect use of the word &x22s;of&x22s;

Bit rough to start screaming wanker at him.

I disagree Neil, I don't think he was carrying on like some others do and it didn't deserve abuse.

Back on topic....... More importantly, why are apostrophes not working on this site anymore

You forgot the &x23's!

Punctuation is overrated.

Yes it looks like double quotes and brackets are broken, perhaps others too, so I'll have our man on the ground look into it... [;&x29;]

Edit: Sigh - it even breaks the winkies, and that makes sad

Pron is the year after the prom in America. The girls spend even more on a dress, the boys drink even more, and even more borderline illiterate parochial Seppos are conceived.

It is a good night apparently.

Of course it depends upon your frame of reference.

My head is under my feet.......... if you live in the northern hemisphere and I'm in WA.

Rabbits' genitals are reversed, but only in Gestalt's video collection, which is all shot from behind the rabbits. Whatever floats ya boat Gestie

I love Seabreeze! What a laugh.

Posts about apostrophes get a Queenslander all hot and bothered about exaggerated wind claims and doesn't check his spelling on his post first!

Love it!

guys

Education isn't any better or worse now than it was then.

The internet means that more people (including those who can't spell every word that they use) write on a day to day basis. This writing is not proof read like it may have been in the oldern days.

So more people writing more stuff with less checks by other people (their bosses, their sign writers, their printers, their publishers) etc, means more mistakes.

Get over it.

This seems appropriate...

Of all of the 100s of poor Queenslanders interviewed that were caught in the floods or cyclone NOT one of them looked dumb or used the English language incorrectly.

(even though "we come to have look at the flood but it come up real fast with no warning"!)

So answer the question Wanker. At the beach where they were kiteing, what was the wind strength.

Was there a question to answer?
