Holy Carp!!!

Not only does the forecast for tomorrow look the goods for Perth, I just so happen to have the day off work. Talk about exciting!

The reason I have the day off is because I'm flying out to New Zealand for a week's snowboarding in the evening.

No work, potential kite session then on a plane for snowboarding. Could Friday get much better?

If you can squeeze beers in there somewhere, then yes, I do believe it can! Have fun snowboarding.

And the judges decision is......

4 consecutive green arrows after midday, check
From the prevailing seabreeze direction, check
High pressure system, check

Until we see how close the guesses for Kurnell are, the current rankings for sunglasses are:

1st: Shear Tip
2nd: Tiddlywinks
3rd: windangoesoff

Yer you could really see that thermal wind action building when it hit 32knots Southerly on Rotto at 1.30am . What a Seabreeze, even went sse for a bit, isn't that like offshore?

Looks like the seabreeze is going to continue all night amazing! If only they were this good in summer! WOW! What a seabreeze and offshore too! WOW!

Nice sarcasm 3jonos.

I think the judges call is the right one... who'd a thunk it? Here's hoping for a few more before daylight savings finishes

Wow the "seabreeze" is really picking up right now at rotto 36knots at 8pm and 35knots at 9pm. Must be the super hot dark sunlight at night heating up the land for a bit of thermal action. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Forecast: Saturday
Morning fog patches. Isolated showers, mainly this afternoon. A cool and partly
cloudy day with light wind and afternoon coastal seabreezes.

Maybe the first seabreeze this season 6/9/08

Ok "real" seabreeze today ,and especially nice cause I got out 7/9. Must be the cold water. Looks like it will be a ripper of a season here in WA :-)

Righto, the scoreboard is up to date as of this post. Note that I've started crossing off dates within ten days from now so LouD, you'll have to pick another one. vert posted on Friday, 10 days out from 1 September, so his goes through. windangoesoff and objc, you picked dates that were already full.

I only just noticed that I didn't get my pick of the 15th. Seeing as I already picked the 15th can you put me down for the 14th if that is not full?

So the WA comp is over and NSW is still going? I have been in WA for the last couple of weeks and there definately seemed to be seabreezes while I was there. However I'm not sure what the weather has been in NSW.

13 degrees and 30knots southerly. Nup, no seabreeze this weekend.

The first WA seabreeze has been judged, and Shear Tip got it on the day. He's almost certain to get a pair of sunnies, unless the NSW seabreeze gets three people who guessed it on the day, and all before Shear Tip guessed the WA one. So the WA seabreeze has been judged, but the three winners all depend on when the NSW seabreeze comes in.

Sorry there's been no updates for a while, I'm in a limited internet access situation until next week. If anything important happens pm me. I'll update the scoreboard soon soon.

shear tip, conor and Richiefish are the proud new owners of some cool sunnies. We will be in touch to get delivery addresses from you.

Thanks GreenPat for running the comp and thanks to Laurie for the sunnies! Great timing, I lost mine on the weekend. (I'm wearing my wife's second pair at the moment)
