Whats the pattern that you see?

Is it that governments throw in a woman in a desperate attempt to hang on to power when they know they will otherwise lose it?

or is it that the public don't generally trust female politicians?

or is it that female politicians can't lie/convince as well as their male counterparts?

You would have to rule out the fact that it is a female politician, as like any politician figure-head, it is often not the individual that makes the choices, but the party.

So what is the pattern?

Yup, party not the person.
Labor

Contrast the first female prime minister of England - longest serving. Is conservative a coincidence?

Excellent, now we add mysogyny to the growing list, let me see....race hate, bigotry, white supremacism, xenophobia, antisemitism. Apparently badges of honour worn proudly by knuckle dragging mouth breathers. Any of you guys have mothers, wives, daughters?. It's great to see the sort of stuff that comes out of the mouths of the bible bashers on this site.

Just back on topic, in every single case it was a hopelessley rotten, corrupt, incompetent & reviled government that these bunnies were suddenly thrust forward, and supposed to save. The electorate had already switched off, just waiting on the ballot box. It is unfortunate that they (well maybe 1...) did have some talent, but it was swept away in electoral well deserved retribution .....

Please give us an election, oh the pain, the pain......

Mysogyny must be some kind of "in" joke in church on Sundays. Do you invite your bitch, sorry, I meant your wife along to church so she can share in the comedy or do you prefer to leave the bitch in the kitchen.....where she belongs

I don't know about Laurence, but Kirner, Keneally, and bligh were all Premiers at the ends of Labour dynasties. In Vic Kirner followed John Cain and the labour parties were in power in Qld for ever and in NSW forever and more. And Mr. Poodle don't be so keen on an election. For a couple of reasons1. If you win we'll end up with Abbot as PM!......and if that's not bad enough we'll have a front bench containing such luminaries as Julie Bishop, Chistopher Pyne and Sophie mirrabella. AND we'll have an economic team of Joe Hockey and Mr.Robb....Jesus ****ing Christ!OK 2. Just a sobering thought for you John Howard was at 45% to 55 percent 6 weeks before the 2001 election an won it. Poles are poles. When an election is called, and what is is another year or so? things might be different. I live in hope.

The pattern is Western Australia?

...oh come on, WE'VE ALL NOTICED!

(this is the part where you defend it as the last bastion of machismo pride where anything that's not white with a dick is ridiculed so that hopefully all that's left is a bunch of tough guys. All men. Men's world. ....wait a minute.)

Poor ol' loggy . He thinks he's the only one left (no pun intended) who can make communism work, you know like Nth Korea, and Cuba. He's what Stalin called "a useful idiot" Anything the poor ol' fella can't cope with is fixed with religious vilification. Come to think of it, the Victorian laws in that regard were implemented by the lefties. So I guess he doesn't agree with everything they do then.

Loggy, go an' get a life. Learn to argue without having to resort only to ad hominem and straw man rubbish.

You're a sad individual!
