Yes there dropping the traps of next week. I feel very strongly about this issue.Cats are doing irreversible damage to extremely endangered species . If you have a cat please ensure you get it desexed. Be a responsible owner.

At work we had a couple cats annoying us. The council set up a cat trap for us. three weeks later we now have caught about thirty six cats. Cats are a huge problem destroying the native wildlife. On my parents farm there are with out a lie easy over a hundred. This is all due to owners not taking responsibilty and dumping unwanted kittens. Im not against pet cats and quite like pet cats but responsibilty needs to be tken for them.

Cats make better 308 practice.

You should see the exit wound on a 308- nasty.

Likewise with a .243, but only the feral ones of course.

I ****ing hate 'em!! I've tried the council traps and the ****ers just laugh at them. I'm constantly throwing shoes at the damn things pissing and ****ting in my kids sandpit. I'm a beesdick away from poison. FFS if you have to have a cat then keep the ****ing thing locked up in your property

Using more than three asterix in a row generates excessive stomach acid. This is not good for you. Try to limit your posts to only two astrerix, or a healthy one!

And then we can all get some sleep

I've never found enough cat left after my .243 has has its wicked way to identify an exit wound. When I'm out hunting EVERY cat I see is a feral cat.

Out bush that distinction is easy, if I see a cat and I can't see a house it might belong too it's fair game. I've no dramas plinking vermin if it's done as humanely as possible, on the flipside I'll stop traffic on the highway if it gives the local echidnas half a chance of crossing the road safely.

I'm with you on .243. There aren't any projectiles for .308 that are frangible enough.
.243 with 58gn V-max or Ballistic Tips, or my favourite .22/250 with 55gn Remington Accutip.
They don't feel it.

I always thought cats would make good slippers, keep the head on so you can tell it was a cat, warm and soft.

Bottom line is

Feral animals are feral animals, fire away
but
Pets are part of people's family, and you mess with their family you mess with them
but
People have an obligation to keep their family (pets, kids, & rednecks with guns/bows/spear guns) from damaging the environment.
