I had cat when I was in Spain and he was TOTALLY AWESOME, just like a dog, he would fetch, go for walks, wrestle with you (without claws), do as he was told...
he was the best pet I could hope for.
Over her my wife has a cat, and he's a little fury f*cker with dangerous claws... I call him Edward. I think there's something wrong with cats over here, like with the women.
Getting back to the wife's cat, he only ever attacks other cats... we have a parrot, a long hair guinea pig... the useless f*ck won't even kill/play with roaches.
My cat in Spain would hunt anything that moved, every morning and evening. He was also like 3x the size of an Oz cat... 11kgs
Personally I think people cause way more destruction than cats, something on the order of 100,098 times as much... so do the world a favour and next time you're out hunting cats or anything else, shoot yourself.
For a long time now I have had an open mind on pet animals ability to read our body language. House pets, cats or dogs, rabbits and guinea pigs read us a lot better than we do them.
If i go near the car keys or pick up my board there is an instant panting and moaning. If I mention the walk word George goes silly putting the head on the lap, and a sigh and a traipsing around, a look outside and a come back in and a look into my eyes, another sigh and then a loud moan.
**** OFF AND LIE DOWN AND I WILL FINISH THIS DRINK
He is sulking now but i will take him!
Nope just come back in to check!
If you keep them caged up and bored, show them no love and leadership and then ignore them they will disappoint you.
Hey Flysurfer,
Nobody has advocated any cruelty to cats or any pets.
The damage that is done by feral animals is nothing short of astonishing. Not least on the list are wild dogs. Do a Google search.
The curator of the Jenolan caves told me years ago of an instance where he saw a Rock Wallaby taken from a cliff in front of him by a wild dog.
Too many imported animals survive here. Talk to Queenslanders who have anything to do with tilapia.
And here in NSW.? Toads, cockroaches, rats, mice, pigeons mynah birds, carp, rabbits, redfin, sparrows, starlings, dogs, camels, foxes, cats, mosquito fish, tench, Rockhamton residents, (reported), deer, goats. horses,( plus brumbies as in the movie), donkeys, possibly panthers and a whole heap of scared humans including anyone who knows anything about the murder of Donald Mckay.
There has to be massive potential for feral animal control!
Who was it said they missed hunting.
Why is there no bounty on anything?
^^^^^ pigs, goats, academics, disgruntled immigrants
running outa ammo................, oh,..... holden drivers !!!
deer, buffalo
Vietnam is not known for it's progressive approach to animal rights, however I know one Vietnamise guy who just loves cats!
He particularly loves them with chilli, ginger and coriander
Two posts in a row! Sorry to hog the board, but Greenleader's post reminds me of another story (which I have a vague recollection of posting before)...
Over dinner one night, myself & friends were discussing the different meats that other cultures eat and what each would taste like and who would try what.
The question was asked, "I wonder what cat tastes like?"
A (female) friend of mine said "I don't know, but I think it would taste like pussy"
Was absolutely gold, but perhaps you had to be there!
