Always thought Heath Franklin summed the infamous Read up perfectly

20-odd years in jail - the following 20 years clean & living a family-oriented lifestyle. Personally, I think he should be an inspiration to many, especially the ex-cons that want to clean up their life...you also can't deny that he was also a very colourful character & bit of a larrikin story-teller.

The interview with Kerry-Anne & Alan Jones where Chopper called up was a hoot too.

I wonder what was his source of income over this 20 years ? Did he actually had any "legal" work in his lifetime?
I am not saying that he didn't,
I simply don't know , maybe he did some trades work, mowing, building something, workshop... ?

Chopper's work;
- author (writing / selling books), although I think some of the royalties might have been confiscated...
- stand-up comedy and story telling, was doing the circuit with Mark Jackson for a while. Jacko had worked with The Wizz Warrick Capper!
- painting, selling artwork...
- spoken word recordings

Selling 500,000 books, plus the other work... I would estimate that he could have earned perhaps over $1M, after leaving prison...

And to think, to achieve all that, all he had to do was kill a few people.

The Elle McFeast interview with him when he got out of jail was the best.
