Here's some vids for you to get a few clues on guitar playing.
I will expect you to be up to this standard by this time next year,.. so hop to it!
He's only 15 so you should easily be able to catch up.

All these are by Sungha Jung over the last five years or so.
And no, there is no background muzac or beat box. He's doing it all himself.

I think it's just magic!

Jason Mraz- I'm Yours

Nirvana - Smells Like Teen Spirit

Pacobels Canon in D

and again, with Trace Bundy

Wham- Last Christmas

Metalica- Nothing else matters -Sungha Jung

Oh, and one for Xmas and New year.

And a happy new year from Pweeda.

What a talented kid! Thanks pweedas.

He seems to be channelling these two. Same kind of thing - no beat boxes or other paraphernalia. Just two people with their acoustic guitars:

He's better than both of those put together. Watch his fingers. He doesn't just bang away on chords with a few notes thrown in with a pinky or two. All the left hand fingers dance all over the fretboard and he bangs out a rythm on the keys and deck at the same time.
If I had fifty fingers and a pick on my pecker I couldn't do half of that.

Have a look at some of the others on U choob. (User jwcfree). About 450 vids.

I got an air guitar too, but it sucks, it's out of tune and I didn't even get free lesson with it either.

Great work by the young fellow. Inspirational stuff.

More likely he's "channeling" Tommy Emmanuel who set the standard for melodic finger style steel string acoustic guitar.

It's interesting that this kid and Joe Robinson (Australia's Got Talent winner) are quite similar in style and technique. Joe Robinson is in the US and hanging with LA studio musician and various guitar heroes. He's giving them a bit of fright.

The actual things these kids do with their fingers is not that hard. The scary thing is what they're playing. How do they know what to play? Where do the arrangements come from? Who's teaching them?

Yes I did get a guitar, nice new fender strat

And yes I do just bang away at a few chords with some pinky notes bunged in, but I only play for myself so I am happy with that

Would love to have the time and patience to get as good as these dudes though!

I think Tommy Emmanuel has to be one of the best in the world, and has been for a long time.
Sungha has recently plucked out a few notes with him also.

Beatles- Day tripper, with Tommy Emmanuel
