I guess electric sidesteps the issues of air thinning as you gain 1500m.

That was cool!

I figure the annoying alarm is probably to warn people ahead that there's a quiet bike about to catch you. Maybe they need to carry a subwoofer on these things with a simulated engine noise.

Did anyone else find themselves leaning into the corners while watching it?

Yup, I was leaning and also found myself twisting on my study chair to counter-steer

It's a shame the quad held him up for so long

Caught this doco on the telly the other day about the Isle of Mann TT Zero. Fascinating stuff. They don't have any alarms on them in that race....

(trailer only, don't know how to get back to the full length version)

This is hang on to the handel bars electric bike doing 166kmh on a pushy wearing thongs. This stuff is the cutting edge with pushbike having power to weight ratios better than F1 cars. Sure the guy is nuts and its wrong to do on public roads but shows what is being done now. Dont be fooled by the taped up batteries on the frame in the closing shots asthere is a lot of smart stuff being done by back yard guys. If only Holden or Ford put their brain into developing electric cars they may have a future but I guess it's still the aussie buyer who is still fixed on the idea that you need fuel to go anywhere.

The revolution of high performance electric transportation is close with batteries nearly nearly available with OK energy densisty, the hard part is getting your hands on the good stuff.

Enjoy
