Ok, let's run with it then.
So Shapele (I don't care how you spell it) is packing her bags the night before her trip to Bali. She has her suitcase laid out on her bed with all the gear she is taking beside it. She is going thru the list:
"toothpaste - check"
"make-up bag - check"
"vibrator - check"
"towel - check"
"4kg bag of pot - check"
No room in the suitcase for the pot so throws it in the bogey board cover closed up probably with velcro. Hopes and preys that thing makes it thru to Denpasar via Sydney. I mean that bag was bloody huge. Such little attempt to conceal it.

I'm going with the baggage handlers were trafficking that sh1t interstate from Bris to Syd and they lost track of it.

The way the Schapelle thing, Michelle Leslie (the fake muslim), the boy that recently got done there, and how Bali bombings played out made up my mind. I'm voting with my strong Aussie dollar and won't ever go and spend one cent in Indo - I think a large segment of their population despise us.

And excuse me, but am I missing something here? I posted info above relating to a QANTAS baggage handler who was paid $1.6 million of YOUR money by the Government to shut the hell up about corrupt police, and it's like water off ducks back? Hullo, anyone out there? Wake up Australia . . .

The problem is people just can't believe that our government could do this stuff. Let alone a reason for doing it in the first place.

I personally know a person who was paid alot of money to shut up about what they knew about the impending bali bomb (this was in 2000,and his reports went direct to aus fed police!), when that schit went down in 2002 his conscious quickly got the better of him and he started to talk about what he really knew, he was beat half to death in his house and spent half a year learning to walk again and still speaks with a slur....

If our goverment have to choose between two wars:
- one with Indonesia over Corby

- another with Japan over whales,

i personally prefer to go and die on the second.

You choose too

All you have to do is add LIAR to that, and you get our PM.

That will be real test for this handlers conspiracy theory and justice system if by mistake they will fill our PM bags with same stuff on her nearest visit to Indo.
Do you think she will met the same fate as Corby ?
Maybe they will even had to share the same cell ?

Macroscien - there's nothing "Theoretical" about criminal baggage handlers at Sydney International Airport using innocent passengers as unwitting drug mules - I mean, here's the THIRD posting of this link re Ray Coopers comments (but why an earth should any Aussie pay the least bit of attention to the guy, I mean he was ONLY the Head of Internal Investigations for the Australian Federal Police):

www.smh.com.au/national/afp-involved-in-drug-smuggling-ex-detective-20050508-gdla4d.html

Then of course, here's what these "Workers" did to one Gary MacDonald (innocent airline passenger), SAME day Schapelle flew . . .

And here's the **load of money they got paid to do it . . . ($300,000)

www.smh.com.au/news/National/Baggage-handlers-paid-300000-in-drug-plot/2005/05/11/1115585014740.html

And by the way, the Ian Robert Chalmers mentioned in that article above (the guy in cahoots with the baggage handlers), was a Director of Macquarie Bank. Guess who owns Sydney Airport? Yep, you got it, Macquarie Bank . . .

Well what did he expect... if you're paid to STFU, you better STFU.

Look what happened to Joe Vialls, for talking too much.

Up until reading those links from Morigen I thought Schapelle was just a dumb bogan who got busted with drugs, now I really think she is just a dumb bogan who has been badly shafted and I feel very sorry for her.

I don't know if corby is guilty or not but I was listening to talkback radio and some guy called in with an interesting story. Someone put a huge bag of drugs in his suitcase but failed to get it out before he claimed it. Customs missed it too so when he got to his hotel in Bangkok it was still there.

He called the aussie embassy and said he was going to call the police next. The embassy staff told him not to as he would spend life in jail and he should say nothing but just flush it down the toliet.

He tried to flush it but it would not flush, it just floated on the top of the water. In the end he stuffed it in his pockets and made several trips to the hotel garden where he would quietly spread it around the lawn.

what my concern is, if something like this happens to you or me, what then...?

The question is what can you do to fight ... corruption, if anything?

people are complacent as long as something doesn't impact them directly and would most likely not be willing to fight for a cause, which is why most population fall into the 'sheep' category, and are easly persuaded by mainstream media etc... which is why leading bodies can get away with things...

I do not know if she did it or not but I know that a board in the bag would weight about 1.5 to 2 kg max? I also know that if when picking up my bag and it was then weighting 6 to 7.5 kg I would check it and find why! Maybe she is just totally brain dead????
I heard of a rumor about the custom guy that was supposed to help her with it was home with malaria!

And there is my arguement in a nutshell. I guess you'll end up rotting in Bali Jail being called a stupid bogan by all your fellow Aussie saying you got what you asked for, or maybe your dad did it or that rumer to that fact. Oh and your government will hang you out there, mostly becuase you don't fit the political agenda or you can't (like another Aussie who got in trouble up there) pay a local minister enough to get yourself out and home early..[}:)]
