The Sauber team have done a nice Vid where they have literally cut an F1 car down the middle to show how they are made up.

Took the Mechanics over 2 years to do as a "spare time project"

That is super cool.

Must be a very uncomfortable experience having a crash in one.

I got an attack of claustrophobia as soon as I saw how the driver is packed into it.

I would rather crash in one of them than a standard family sedan or similar.

It is almost the same seating position as you have in/on a land yacht.

Im off to the shed to cut up sad effort of a landyacht and make it skinnier and tighter, I cant believe I been such a soft**ck and built enough room to be comfortable in it

If you've seen me surf, you'll know where the name came from

good vid but could have been so much better, hardly showed the back end at all, engine/gearbox/exhaust etc. Hopefully some hi-res pics will surface...

Did you know that a F1 car can start from 0 to 160 Km/h then stop back to 0 in...
... 4 seconds !

Wonder what speed they would get on an alpha500 ?

That's insane, and to think of all the restrictions they put on the cars to slow them down, imagine what they could come up with otherwise.
