I like Great Southern Land and quite a few others but I don't really have a favourite song.
The songs of the 60's, 70's and the 80's were all good and yeah i'm old too! Ha ha

if a guns and roses song is your favourite song then you need to have a serious look at your musical taste. sorry but there is a world of absolutely amazing music out there and GnR is at the very very bottom......perhaps just above spice girls and take that.....[}:)]

Hey Buster - I used to think Led Zep and The Stones were bollocks until i lived in a hippy house in Freo with an old turntable built into a cabinet number.

I was studying at the time (read: part time = surfing in the AM and half the day ripped reading heaps of books) and found a stack of LPs lying around one arvo, whacked on LZ II (or III?) and the 1st few bars of Immigrant Song totally blew me away!! Had to listen to that track at least 4-5 times straight (ahem.. unlike me at the time). What a kn awesome sound. Same for Strolling Bones Let it Bleed albulm 1st track = Gimme shelter, kn alltimer for sure!! In hindsight that cabinet was probably an old valve amp number - what a deluxe sound it had!!

Lately I have been regressing into really old New Order (FACD 50/Movement for the nerds out there) and Radiohead's Bends album.

If I hear John Stevens and Noiseworks - oh I mean Kings of Leon (easy to confuse) one more freakin time I will pop!!

Yo Roch - nuttin wrong with a bit o GnR - it's just that Axl is an embarressment to weedy little fanta pants in cycling pants everywhere.

Still love DCFC's long version of Posses your heart = 4 min instrumental intro gold!

OK - they are both misery guts bands but love that melancholy pop gold.

Kn sh!ts me seeing a mic cupped in the hands tho - my pet hate (well one of em)

To be a good song, it either has to have a really good story, or great rhythm...

2 of my faves...

Short Skirt (Cake)

not a particular fan of the band, but thought this was the bee's knees when it came out in 79. no one does rock'n'roll disco like'em

can't find the original version but this one's nearly as good

Hmmmm. I guess they are convenient, but I prefer conventional zippers... the velcro can be scratchy when you poke your meat out for a whizz.
11 inch long scratches can be painful.
