Fish bag limits are in place to ensure the future of fish stocks for generations to come. Time after time I see pictures like this - and wonder why do people catch this many fish in one day. Yes, fishing is great fun BUT catch a few each time and go out more often. Wouldnt this be more fun. We have very strict limits here in WA to ensure future fish stocks, and most do the right thing. But then, one would think that "common sense" would prevale over greed.

i agree, check out the photo by Maskie in fishing section. You would think 7 Jewies is a bit of over kill ,dont you think Maskie?I love catchin a jewie or 2,dont think you are too worried about the future of stocks.those spots you are pilaging will soon enough have nothing on them.if you had kept 2 or 3 and then left ,the others are then left to breed, but no one really gives a toss until it will be too far gone to recover. That goes for all fish !

with ever decreasing fish stocks maybe it is a great idea they are going to have fish farms off the coast. If you go down to south head you will see challanger tafe with all there breeding stocks in tanks. I reckon more should be done so our kids have a chance to throw a line in and have that stocked look on there face when they land one.

Yeah, i mean its probably a charter, but its definately killing the pig
Those Dolphinfish or "mahi mahi " are all exceptionally small, none of them will be growing into big bulls to really test your gear.............not now anyway.
I wonder if the charter name is" Rape and pillage"?

I heard that they are thinking about fishing licenses that you have to nominate the day your going fishing. I think that is ridiculous, because how are people supposed to know for sure what the sea conditions will be on one particular day!!

Thanks for the few guys that took time out to have their say but needless to say pictures like this are still popping up.
One day there wont be any fish left to catch.
Cheers.

most of the rape n pillage is done by the pros and methods they use .
yes their is some shady people rec wise but most recreational fishers do the right thing
so through the book at the ones that do the wrong thing and stop punishing the good ones
