After nearly 30yrs my Dad thought he had his home brew just about perfect, so he sent off a sample to the CSIRO for testing. A week or so later he received his reply,

"Dear Mr ######,
We're sorry to have to inform you that your horse has diabetes."

He gave up!!

Would love to be sitting at home swigging on a pintail ale... or a hoprod, Vale ale.

Instead sitting in the smoko room on the wharf about to do the last 2 hrs of my shift then back again in 8 hrs for another 12!

I'll have my Friday night beers tomorrow and Sunday night thanks.

Ginger beer, Matso's right now as I've run out of home brew.
Ginger is good for the stomach, so the more you drink....well that's my theory, and I'm sticking to it!

Home brew here too! Coopers Pale Ale fermented at 19c, left for a week after fermenting in primary and the bottled for foamy goodness. Mmmmm!

Wifey has just shown me an apple cider that is going in the vat next ( after the dodgy looking brew that seems to have stopped fermenting after only 36 hours or so. I thought the yeast satchel was strange....).

And yep, the Ginger beer is a cracker! Does anyone else have a problem with the ginger flavour remaining for subsequent non-ginger brews? Do I need a dedicated ginger vat?

I'd prefer cheap wine and cheese on toast.

i am not a fan of import beers, but been converted to this one for the last couple of months.

it's quite dear though, $22 per 6 pack, but money very well spent.
another funny thing i noticed that i don't gain that couple of kgs after my drinking weekend, as i normally would, drinking either boags or coopers

Must be a common theme at this time of year. MY HOMEBREW HAS RUNOUT!!!

Oh well 1 week more isn't too long to wait...... I hope.

Anyway picked up a budget brew, freakin awesome but last time I told people the price went up $5. So I can't tell you what it is.[}:)]
