my employer GBS gold finishes mining tomorrow after going bankrupt to the tune of ariound $400M and it's big news up here. I'll be out of a job.
this tune popped into my head the other night and i recorded it on the laptop at camp and posted it on youtube for the workers out there to enjoy. The local paper found it and gave it a plug too.
Sorry but that is bloody amazing mate. Love it; such a tribute. Good job. All the best to wherever you move onto next... =]
What Liz said. Green Day would be proud. Isn't the original called Good Riddance?
Good on ya and good luck.
Sorry to hear you've lost your job Colin, but that vid and your lyrics is AWESOME. Well done. All the best.
...biggest joe blake I ever did see!!!! You know the only good one's a dead one!
So we gonna see ya back in Adelaide Col ?
Hope we do, we can come and use your local knowledge to find more secret spots where there is some isolated wind pattern when everywhere else is calm and promise to send you pictures that we never do...
But seriously - hope all is ok, take care mate.
Hated by snakes loved by crocs go figure.
Sorry to hear a bout the job, hope you got the flat screen.
Feel for you Col, in the mining industry myself and it will be more so like GBS in the next few months for a number of likewise mines.
Cant blame you not wanting to move, its a great place the NT
You never know whats around that next corner
Great vid clip
top work. goes to show there can be great times had ,especially in some of the ****tiest jobs. as always it is cheaper to close up, than clean up . been there ,done that . back when I was doing that sort of thing I could swear Pine Creek was a copper/uranium mine from the 50's
