What a power house!!
So much power & torque, it is ridiculous!
But, it rides really smooth in the lower revs, and it's really easy to ride at slow speed, only using minimal power...
But twist the throttle, and it's game on!

Mine is the current evolution, 2012 bike (Demo). The 2013 and 2014 bikes are virtually just different stickers.

I had the 200cc and the 380cc 2-stroke. Back tires didn't last very long. Definitely preffered the 200.

Awesome machines.

Doesn't look like the seats have been made any more comfy in 13 years. I think mine had mahogany instead of foam in it.

Yeah, you are probably right! In fairness, they are OK. Skinny seat... One cheek at a time! But my mate & I have both had XR's with wider seats, and they are actually a 1 cheek seat, over a long distance... recognisance type riding.

I think CHilli White talk about the seat in this one...

The 360/380exc was an amazing bike but prefer the 300. Heard good things about the 200, KTM just make great bikes

Exactly!
KTM do ride days each year, so you only need to rock along to that, and work out what size engine you want, to suit your preferred riding...
They do the rest!

they may well be a nice bike but that video doesnt prove anything of course. the ktm rider was a useless novice and the other riders were probably worse than he was.
what about the 300exc?

Agree! But the top surface looked slippery... But yeah, they weren't hitting the turns very hard.

I wish KTM made the bikes steer.

The engines are great but the rest....

Well, they keep suspension tuners in business.

Very good looking bikes I wish the japanese reinvested into 2 stroke enduro's.

Yeah, I heard you Viccy's get far better treatment than us south aussies :). We are a 1 bike shop town at the moment. My current KTM is the only bike I brought with no test ride. What is the world coming to !

Yes, a great bike Doggie... But the 450 is a man's bike!
It just depends on what type of riding you do, what trails you like...
Tight & Twisty, plus open terrain - 300
Desert Runs - Open Fire Trails - 450

Plus there are heaps more options in between, and up & down!!!
Just pick your engine! Colour is standard... Orange! Unless you get a Six Days Special Edition.

If your complaining about the seat, your not riding it right.

Anyone seen the KTM Duke 390 in the flesh yet? Looks like a fun little naked bike for around $7000.

Please excuse my ignorance - I haven't ridden a bike for a few years, but if that was a vid to market the bike, it was terrible. I'm not sure if my sound was right, but it sounded like the guy was close to stalling on the turns & the throttle was way too low. Maybe the 300 would have been a better bike for that ride, or at least drop it a gear? A good rider would have either been on the throttle, or brakes - there is no middle-ground!

I used to love riding scramble/trail...but now get the same kicks (with less chance of injury) windsurfing.

Im not a massive fan of four strokes, they are nice but I just prefere two stroke for that power delivery, and sound

Sweet bike.
I still love my 2 smoke YZ250. But saying that have been riding my bro's CR450 a bit lately and the torque is just amazing.
Wheelie's in every gear!
