I don't understand the stations that only play top 20 so it is the same sh!t over and over. Why? Might be the best song ever but not when it is 3x a day
Nath, people who don't like GnR are weird.
My advice to you is if you're sick of listening to 90's songs, change radio stations.
JJJ are good but they do it as well, aleast they thrash new songs and not the same old crap.

And thats comming from you
Internet radio, no ads and better music.
Here's a handy list of some good ones.

Some people are sheep, they like hearing the same 20 songs all day every day.
I have a lot of music at work, ~1000hrs at a guess, and I was just thinking today that I'm bored with it.

Agreed
I'd call me old but I'd rather listen to Richard Fidler, Spencer Howson, James O'laughlan over any of them.
I think JJJ have lost it on their music choices in the last few years. They used to be about bloody good music that had not been picked up by mainstream radio or a big record company yet. Like Silverchair played first cos they were a good aussie band, or Nirvana just before they got well known. Or really good techno or rap that mainstream would not play (no $$$ in it)
Now it seems to just be anything that is dead set weird, the more 'anti-mainstream' the better, to the point that half the songs are just total crap. If it is a total mess that doesn't fit a genre, they will play it. I imagine them hearing a new track and saying "that doesnt even sound like music, quick play it so we are all enlightened and progressive"
But any commentary / interest segments on JJJ are good, way better than commercial radio. As soon a a "DJ" opens their mouth on comm radio I switch channels. I wonder how many people actually enjoy listening to them dribble sh!te in drive time?

In the day, re Mikey Robins and Hellen Razor were the best DJs. I agree tho its a bit lost at the moment, I still like it tho as its the only radio I listen to.
Who remembers when 2SM was the top teen station in Sydney in the 70's? They had a play list that consisted of only the Top 10 of the pop chart. Ha, what brain washed idiots we were back then.
I ve to agree with mark about the music on jjj & it hurts me as I have always been a faithful listener since it was jj.
But what really gets up my nose is for a station with no adds how can they play less music than a commercial station . I mean really its not even a youth station its a station for idiots to just rave on with ** all day.
It used to be good every day had a different theme Mon was dream analysis tue was indigenous affair wed was some **** I forget thur was & is doctor Karl & the dj actually played some music .
Not like that total tool who calls himself The Doctor from frenzal rhomb .
When I heard the wu tan clan punched him out I wanted to buy all there albums just to support them .
Hey harrow remember this norman gunstan singing .
And spunky boobs are swaying when 1270 is playing were taking it to the streets .1270 2sm
Im going to pop a stud cola now
Love the J's, and the doctor is good too, plays a big variety of music from metal thru punk to beats and rap. But Dr Karl still wins it for me.
Any guns and roses
