I've already posted this in the windsurfing general section but I thought some of you might find it of interest.
I'm an artist who specialises in commissioned portraits of people , pets , animals etc.
My mother received an Order of Australia medal this year making her an eligible subject for the Archibald Art prize. I'm doing her portrait .
The article from the Herald today is below.Sorry about the quality as the ads on the back showed through when I scanned it. Don't ask me what we are looking at ! We were just doing what the photographer told us to!

To see a better photo of the portrait and see how it looked as it was created plus view my other portraits etc use this link

Awesome Sue I love your work! I took a look at your site awhile ago and love your work
Especially "Ray" and the story behind the painting

I will get one done for a friend of mine...I just have to get a photo of her dad
and thats a tad hard to get...

Hope you win

Thanks!
I have some tales about getting secret photo's for portraits! Mind you these were of animals so it was a bit easier. Tell him you've just got right into photography and he's got a really interesting face which you'd like to capture..
