such a load of ****. every 4 years all the armchair athletes become passionate experts in obscure sports they know nothing about and don't normally follow.
To the knockers...it's tradition, something that is slowly fading away in our culture...it's great to see that the Olympics grow bigger each 4 years.
The hard work the athletes put in to get there deserves recognition, not negativity.
I am looking forward to hearing former cricketer Michael Slater give his running commentary on the diving. I think it takes an expert to read off notes and an autocue about a sport they have never been involved with.
Speaking of tradition, why doesn't the olympics have a tug of war? That would be an event I'd watch.
Yep boring as bat shzt. I would rather a 500lbs chick in tights sit on my face than watch that dribble.
"I have a problem with that silver medal. It's like, 'Congratulations, you almost won. Of all the losers, you're the number one loser. No one lost ahead of you.'" -Jerry Seinfeld
Hockey would be a very difficult game to play .
Running along with that stick , it would be so tempting to wack the crap out of your opponent
Or put the stick in between their ankles as they run beside you.
I think they should ban athletes in the opening ceremony from filming it. Every single one it seems is living it through a camera. It's like watching Japanese tourists. Just get one guy to do it properly and share it after.

I thought the opening ceremony was awesome up to about when the queen dropped in. The whole rural to industrial revolution was something else. Then it just got confusing. Some parts I didn't understand at all.
