I know this is a long shot.
Does anyone remember a song from 1983/84 which had the the words "Domino, Domino, followed by 5 other words" in the chorus, which was then repeated.
The song was sung by a male, about a girl (i think)
I think it was released on a compilation tape here in oz called something like "Break it up" or "Breakin", obviously back around the breakdance era.
If anyone can help that would be great
HC
Van Morrison?
Domino
Don`t wannna discuss it
Think it`s time for a change
You may get disgusted
Start thinkin` that I`m strange
In that case I`ll go underground
Get some heavy rest
Never have to worry
About what is worst or what is best
(Get it)
Oh oh Domino (it`s all right)
Roll me over, Romeo, there you go
Lord, have mercy
I said oh-oh, Domino
Roll me over, Romeo, there you go
Say it again
I said oh-ooh-oh Domino
I said oh-ooh-ooh-oh Domino
(Dig It)
(Instrumental)
There`s no need for argument
There`s no argument at all
And if you never hear from him
That just means he didn`t call
Or vice versa
That depends on where ever you`re at
(All right)
And if you never hear from me
That just means I would rather not
(Hit it)
Oh oh Domino
(All right)
Roll me over Romeo, there you go
Lord have mercy
I said, oh oh Domino
Roll me over Romeo, there you go
(Hey, all right)
Say it again
Oh-oh-ooh-ooh Domino
(Hey, hit it)
I said oh-ooh-ooh Domino
Well, Mr. DJ I just wanna hear
Some rhythm and blues music
On the radio
On the radio
On the radio
Uh-uh, all right
Uh-uh, all right
Uh-uh, all right
Uh-uh
Hear the band
(Instrumental)
One more time
Not "Reet Petite, the sweetest girl you ever wanna meet".????
Sorry Haircut but my first thought was Van Morrison as well.
Pet Shop Boys - Domino Dancing?????

Did you try adding "classic" to your google searches? I got a lot of hits for "domino breakdance classic", but alas, no speakers.
P.S.
- Possible lyrics
- song about a girl
- from some decade
long shot indeed.
Thanks again guys. It still eludes me, and unfortunately none of the ones anyone has suggested yet.
I'd give you more words, but I don't know any more of the words
I'm too embarrassed to hum it for you
getfunky - i will investigate the domingo suggestion - thanks
there's this other song my 3 y.o. keeps singing because he heard it on the radio.....once....three months ago.
it goes....
bah bah baaaah, bah bah b-b-bah bah-b-b.
i'm thinking 80's pop.
anyone know it.
Yes i'm serious!
(and don't say baa baa black sheep)
not sure if that was a smart answer or a genuinely good guess..... but not that song either
it was actually psycho killer by talking heads.
And the correct lyric was
(Psycho Killer Qu'est-ce que c'est? ) fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa fa better Run run run run run run run away OH OH OH
