Is this another one in your "What's your next move" line of posts?

How can so much Sh#t happen to one guy (Flysurfer) in such a short space of time (ie. the last coupla months)?

You sure he ain't a troll, Boris? [}:)]

Na, all true... and I don't even tell y'all 1/2 of the crap that happens to me... like Wednesday I bought a cars worth of US$... couple hours later Bernanke the farker says he wants interest rates ~0 until 2014... effect, I lose 3% and counting.

anything else you'd like to complain about? whose fault is it that you decided to take a gamble with US dollars? somebody else's obviously.

i bet you put up your hand for everything that works out the way you expect, yet blame anyone and everyone else when things don't turn out well...

I know, not much there (it's more purple today and still hurts), but it's been raining since November... and I'm going nuts!

And now my bike isn't even ridable!

yeah man you not allowed to ride on footpath and the postie is so you need to suck it up

I don't know about the other states but here it is for QLD:
www.qld.gov.au/transport/safety/rules/wheeled-devices/bicycle

"Riding on the footpath (s288)

In Queensland, cyclists of any age are allowed to ride on a footpath unless prohibited by a 'NO BICYCLES' sign - you must give way to pedestrians and ride in a manner that does not inconvenience or endanger other footpath users."

Didn't you learn avoidance maneuver yet?

Just get a lesson at near Ride Safely branch club and next time you will be perfectly fine

This is properly made "postie avoidance maneuver" pretty much same as you do lay down gybe ,
swing a bit right then left, thas it, easy as

I was riding my bike on the footpath and a known corner was coming up so I slowed as usual, when a postie comes round the corner not even looking so I stop and shouted at him... bang farker hits me.

Handle bars when in to my leg... massive bruise... bent rim (DT Swiss $$$), scratches.

What should I do?

yeah i had a tree hit me once. the bastard.

Yaa, with TREES there is difficult matter, You do try to avoid them and the bastards follow you up the footpath, on the grass, up in the air.
You could try such a guile...

once in the air you suddenly dismantle with your bike ...
tree is at lost .... follow you or follow the bike ?? [}:)]
fifty fifty percent chance that TREE has this wrong this time

but to tell the truth, mate, not much you could do if the ROAD is against you

nothing is easy first time but possibly the worst offenders are other bikes on the road ...even when standing still

they make you cry in no time at all

but after some time, you learn cool trick and there is time you could
impress few chicks

look that if you are succesful you can get laid with one or even all of them

You should thank God, you are lucky bustard

friends of mine met not a cheapy postie but courier delivery on his way

Still few things intrigue me on picture above.

-Which exactly finger passenger will show to cyclist ? middle one ?
_ or just counting to 10 to announce KO ?
-If driver should apply brakes in such situation to block the wheels? not sure if yellow stands for STOP lights
-or that was yellow is indicator flashing that should give cyclist plenty of time to react about driver intention : " turn left and ride over cyclist maneuver" according to road code at least three second in advance ...

Postie said I was just stopped on the footpath... implying I was in the way.
I need to send them a quote for the repair.

I think the joker in the vehicle might have been passing something to the bicycle rider...drink perhaps? or giving a message? but something went wrong, the indicator light could have been hazard lights flashing?

maybe someone here who knows a bit more about the finer points of cycle racing can give us thier better educated guess?
