It is motor sport.

It has all the same techniques and tactics, every single one - but with the added difficulty of not being in the car

+1

It would be cool if you could mount a camera that sends images back to a pair of goggles so you could drive it like a real car!! Im sure you could do it these days

Dave has a point OK, the body is not on the line. So it is not quite the same I guess. But OTOH, playing computer games is not the same as RC racing. There is no tuning and extensive handling setup on a computer game.

well there is in games like iracing and rfactor . You can change your cars settings almost identical to how you could change your car's characteristics as if you were at a racetrack on a weekend .

So because i play rfactor and race in a v8 league that makes me a v8 supercar driver right ?

Real motor sports have all the same techniques and tactics, every single one - but with the added difficulty of being in the car, and having a very real possibility of death.

...and I can safely say from my armchair of knowledge that I have done neither RC nor real motor sports. I have gone very, very fast out the back of the Gold Coast though, for many years. There's one treacherous corner to look out for.

Anyone up for GT5? - Seabreeze championship. (start a new thread; i'll miss it.)

edit: This is where some toss comes along and proclaims how much better their platform/game is.
