Bye Lou, RIP and Thanks!
I still remember a friend that bought the metal machine music album, and waiting for something to happen the 1st time he played it!
I played 'Perfect Day' this morning really loud to the kids before dropping them off at school. They thought it was a pretty cool song.

Saw Lou reed in Melb about 10 years ago as a friend had a spare ticket ... I begrudgingly went along ... But left a huge fan.
May have to pull out a few CDs tonight

Yep had a similar experience in Amerika about 30 years ago - a great act - will spend some nostalgic time listening to his old songs...thanks for setting up these
I have made a BIG decision
What a song, man, if you've ever wondered what it's like to put the "spike into your vein" but for some reason didn't, wow!
Thankfully I never have, but i can understand why others do,
I loved crankin' up the Velvets driving along, still do, feels weird that Lou died, never even knew he was crook,
Shame, really
Got a mate, Rohan, and we both were major Lou/Velvet underground fans 25 yrs back. One night he comes home a wee bit altered and puts on the banana. He turns the light down low and lays back to enjoy his first listening of the newly purchased album. Lou starts singing
Hey
Rohan
One freaked out friend. Hehe, never forgotten it.
Hard to pick a favourite but the intro to Sweet Jane is pretty....sweet.
