Make sure you get the right type of superglue- you will probably be needing "thick" glue, and maybe the accelerator which sets the glue off instantly.

When using the accelerator atomiser bottle- do a test shot at a bit of paper first so you have an idea of the spray pattern and direction, mask off anything that might be affected by overspray [acrylic or Perspex aircraft windows, varnished table tops etc.

I just make my own accelerator. It's just a teaspoon of carbsoda in a cup of water. Mix well and refill your atomiser bottle.

Your right Stephen, electrics are very affordable now. Some of the electric ducted fan models at our club really hoot.

Being a beginner in the sport, I think I might just go with the store bought stuff.

There was a ducted fan flying about the park a couple weeks ago. Looked like fun and it turned into a dot in the sky very fast.

The other plane that looks like fun are those 'wings'. They look pretty indestrucatble. Reading more from Dr Google it seems the best thing is to steer clear of most things on fleabay.

The hardest thing now is the wait.

The "wing thing" we had was a Canterbury Sailplanes "JAZZ"

About as close to unbreakable as you will ever find.
Its possible that a bbq plate could take more punishment
[and even then I would put money on the glider lasting longer]

The JAZZ is made of EPP foam which bounces instead of breaking on imact.
It is built for combat flying- where you have several in the air- trying to ram each other and make the opposition crash.
These particular "wings" only need a 2 channel controller with a mixer in the glider to control the elevons.
Be warned though- you need mates to have these things as well so you can dogfight.
make sure your radio gear operate on different frequencies or everything goes pear shaped.....
There are other brand wings around- and canterbury sailplanes have a newer updated version as well.
For combat flying its best to fly off hilltops or slopes as bungee launching is only practical for solo flights.

A cheap disposable version is the PIBROS delta wing, free plans on the intrweb.

This is what it looks like just with the wings in.

The kits looks too good for the price. Lets see how easy it is to assemble, balance and fly.

Just picked one of these up yesterday for my son. http://www.modelflight.com.au/helicopters/rtf-helicopters/blade-nano-cp-x-rtf-helicopter-mode-2.html

we have several indoor type mini-choppers gathering dust. we found they generate too much noise.

[offspring tried hovering over sandwichmakers head- trust me, rotor blades and long hair dont mix very well]

I think you have made a very good choice for a ready to fly plane. The reviews and videos on these are really great. You can put a camera in one of those.

Keep us updated with your experiences with this plane please. I might get one myself.

He also built a tigermoth 10ft wingspan

That plane you have echunda is a great begginers plane, you will have stacks of fun.

Just got this girl 3 days ago, never flown a plane this big. I scared just building it. You can see the size against the guitar.

It should go even faster with a motor and propeller.

I always found the bigger they were, the easier they were to fly.
Just remember, when you first try it, you don't have to fly around flat strap all the time. Most models get a bit flibberty on full throttle but fly real sweet on low power settings.
Use full throttle for take-off only and then back it off to half until you get used to it and the trim sorted out.
It really ruins your day when you stack something that looks so good.

Not sure on top speed. Will be putting a DLE-55cc 2 stroke in it. Using it for 3d flying (hopefully).

In that case, be carful flying around other people. If you hit them with that you can do some serious damage.
Ouch!
