On hearing that the budget had a $5000 rebate on new business vehicle purchases I thought great, I need to upgrade soon, Next F.Y. will be a good time to do it. Now I find out that it is a $5000 tax deduction, Oh well not too bad will still save a couple of thou on my new ute. Then I read that this will not come int effect until 2012/13 tax year.
Why bother you idiots, [}:)][}:)][}:)]
How about getting this years right before you move into the next.
Sorry car dealers. You are going to have to wait another 14 months for my dollars.
I can't believe it, That red head dumb cow just had the hide to say " This budget is what the country needs now".
Have a look at what you put in it you flamin ding dong.[}:)][}:)][}:)]
Bad, and getting worse!
They don't seem to understand the difference between negativity and actuality.
Do they really think it is the opposition which is making them look "ridiculous" Can they comprehend that they are doing that themselves, flip-flopping, decision by media, uncertainty
Leader's lead. Sheep follow.
I never said i wanted more money, It was more a comment directed to the ridiculous policies put forward in the budget.
If I can save money by spending it wisely through my business well it just makes sense to do it when the tax benefit is there.
For you to judge how much I work and what I want in life is bit naive.
You tax can tax pay tax the lie tax the flood tax and now the tax carbon tax with your tax business tax car tax tax tax.
Please explain? I have paid tax for nearly 25 yrs, most of the time I had to personally take it out of my account and give to them . If there is a tax benefit there to use I will use it.
If some peolple cannot see this point of view they don't work for themselves and/or are not very moneysmart.
I think most of the tax cuts were in John Howard days, after the GST began to rake in the billions, we still payed a lot tax but it didn't feel as bad as it was less noticable.
I heard a political analiser the other day say one of the reasons the liberal economy was so good was that they gave the money back to the people who knew how to spend it.
People had money and spent money, kept the world(australia) going around.
I think this was on the money.
Just to keep to my original point
Personally i think it is quite silly to announce tax benefits for anything into the following years budget, They should stick to trying to get this years one right before moving onto the next year.
Thats it. point over.
If you want to read anything else into it go and knockyourself out.
^^^ Agree. But then, it can be announced all over again next year... just like ground hog day!
Do nothing, when doing nothing is warranted... That is not now!
wormy, yeah, dunno about the next year's money thing. Both sides seem to do it. I seem to recall it becoming a fad under Keating who argued that next year's money affected this year although I never could understand why. Certainly though, I do agree with you that if there's a tax benefit then it's our civic duty to make use of it.
@cisco - Give it a rest. Surely you can find something else to whine about?
@SomeOtherGuy - keating was on a side? I thought the only side he was on was his own - and still is Funny guy...
@FormulaNova - you make a good point - better to know in advance, if you are planning a capital outlay, that way you have an opportunity to plan for the alternative - i.e. the rebate, deduction etc.
Why am I bothered about it,
Because I Wanted it NOW!!!!![}:)][}:)]
My ute prob want last another 14months
I probably buy late model of a dealer and just get back the GST.
Ive seen to many promises in the wind get lost or forgoten by the time its due for them to pay out.
