if you do get your place or car tagged , do report it.
when my car and trailer got done ,the police took the photos and added them to their list of that particular tag.
when they caught the not so little toerag he got a shock when they explained they were not charging him with 1 offence ,but almost 300 separate ones no getting away with a wrist slapping for him

The last "artistic" wannabe that tagged our place made the mistake of being caught.[by me]

He got sent home with a "Steady Eddie" version of an artline tribal tattoo covering his face, with an invite for his parents to visit so they could check out our photo album of his handywork from the previous 6 months.

I was kinda dissapointed that they never turned up.

bonus though- no tags at our place since then- and its been several years.

The promenade wall at Bondi is a nice stretch of "art". It's nice to see the artists down there with council permits, painting in the light of day and drawing an appreciative crowd.

What - it's a fleeting, ephemeral art form to be appreciated in the moment of it's initial beauty, before the ravages of time and an ever-changing world make their mark and new layers of the cities conscious write themselves over the top, so that like a beautiful woman the initial flowering beauty is overwritten by something deeper, darker, more gritty and real and all the more attractive for it.

Yeh right it's f'kin ugly tags mate, little dogs p!ssing on every wall they see.

So your whole argument for rubbishing a great shop is because they sell spray cans. What else can I say but you are a fool. My grom has had so many great skate days and met heaps of talented crew because of the boardshop. Yep I'm a big supporter of.those guys and all the stuff they do. It's just big mouths like that slag off someone's business that irks me. As I said a ill informed fool with a opinion

I love that story. You're my hero. (not one ounce of sarcasm) I hope it's true because I've certainly entertained thoughts along similar lines, walking up the road to see a fresh scrawl.

Apparently I'm not allowed to post that skatey painty type events might encourage kids to go tag every wall in range of mummy's house in the hope that they might magically turn into great mural artists after their balls drop. Sanitised thread be sanitised.

I had a look to see how the other aussie online skate shops handle this thing that's "always been part of skate culture".

I saw that this Aussie Online Skate shop doesn't have spray cans & nikkos all over their front page:

Hey Kiteboy I share your hate of tags but im not sure the skate shop is promoting tagging. Heaps of crew think the mona lisa is art but it looks like junk to me. That doesn't mean its not art. I hope you catch your tagger.
