I generally buy clothes from Rivers stores.
Years ago when you bought stuff from surf shops it was often quality.
Whatever you bought, jeans, boots, sandals etc they lasted for years.
This isn't always the case now
Rivers at least sell products that appear to be value for money.
The key selling point however is their advertising.
Rivers quietly explains to me what they have for sale and the price.
That is all I need.
Harvey Norman and every other firm that employs the device of yelling at me from the
TV wake up.
I actively go out of my way never to buy from you. STOP YELLING AT ME!!!
ARE YA GETTING TO OLD?
AH THAT ROCK AND ROLL MUSIC GIVES ME A HEADACHE WITH ALL ITS HEAD BANGING AND RA RA.
AT LEAST YOU HAVE THOSE WARM RIVERS SOCKS AND A CUP O COCOA.
^^^ +1
Ah the shouty ad, the pinnacle of advertising. Or not.
Here's the Gruen Transfer's take on them:
