Why do newsreaders always start by saying 'good evening', then proceed to tell you why it isn't

The other question is why do they all seem to have very prominently placed open laptops in front of them? I've never once seen them look at it or refer to info that has come from it.

That's it. 2 questions. If we can sort these out the world will be a better place.

cos the Apple or Intel or whatever logo makes them more money than the next 3 ad breaks in a row combined.

No logo or brand visible. Besides, the ABC shouldn't be getting into sponsorship or product payment - I give them 8 cents a day so they don't need to.

That newsreader looks like she's sucking on a lemon.

why is it whenever your stuck behind some slow poke and an overtaking lane comes up everybody does 120k ,as well as the slow poke and you end up no further ahead then when back to single lane all drop back to 60/70ks

^^

Try driving a truck for a living if you want to see humanity at it's stupidest. Who are the ****ers who pull out from directly behind you and then proceed to overtake at 3ks faster than you are going ensuring that only the first three cars can actually get past before you get back to one lane.

I am thinking of getting a megaphone

M-m-mate, you're not wrong! I don't know what size you drive, but I drive road trains, and every day, without fail I'd see half a dozen or more temporary Ozzies. They'll pull out over crests, around curves and even over double lines. My main concern is that when they do come to grief, they invariably seem to kill some poor innocent bloke who's doing the right thing. Once they're half way along my rig they're snookered if someone suddenly appears coming the other way.

Why are there always two songs played during the end credits for a movie?
Before the obvious is stated "because one soundtrack isn't long enough", the first soundtrack often fades out before entirely played, and another soundtrack fades in.

Why?

Why do Dogs hate it when a person exhales or blows on their nose or face, but they mostly love sticking their heads out of the car window @ 80kmph

Why?

Why is it that a beach break can have 3 nice peaks, but people will paddle out where there is already someone surfing, rather than select one of the other two empty peaks.

Why?

Why is surfing associated with a beach lifestyle and the positive connotations that have been mysteriously been given to the 'beach'? I personally really dislike the 'beach' physical environment (ie sandy, windy, salty, hideously glaring sunlight, sometimes very hot/cold, often crowded and difficult to access because of the limited parking etc). Why is surfing regarded as somehow representing a lifestyle that is superior to other sports, kind of 'cool and hip' compared to other sports, when in actual fact it typically involves frustration on more occasions than not?

Why?

Why do people pay surfing companies to advertise the surfing companies brand on their clothes. In fact not just pay surfing companies, but many companies?

Why?

Why are morning television presenters such douchebags?

Why?

Do you mean the stuff real estate agents make their signs out of? If so it's called Corflute

Heaps of places sell it (bunnings, sign shops etc) but shop around as the prices vary markedly!

Failing that, get to know a real estate agent

Or failing that, go 'shopping' at midnight before an election...
