I'm farking sick and tired of updating.
Every damn time I turn something on it needs a damn update.
Turn TV on: Service Update > Installing service (5/25) > I don't want farking NRL analyzer
Turn PS3 on: can't connect until I update
XBox > Update
Phone > new update
Tablet > new damn update
PC > Update
Install piece of crap > Update
Install battlefield 3 > 2hrs later 500MB update!
Contact Internode support > Update firmware (didn't help their stupid issue)
The damn TV is still updating 13/25
FARK!!! I just want to register my Divx VOD!!! Or play blow sh!t up.
I've stopped updating, mostly.
Do I need to update my phone? Not really.
My PC? No, not really, again.
Certain software? Nup.
...GT5 to play seasonal events? ...yes. Damn it.
But generally I just click 'No/Later/Go Away'. My life is the same.
I feel your pain.
Did an iPad update and had to re download all my apps
This is while I'm still in bill shock from a telco who have a banner ad on this very page
Oh well, forecast is good for the weekend
Try and get in the habit of checking for updates before you go to bed, then let your devices update while you zzzzz the night away
I wish I could get a phone update. I went and got a Windows 7 phone to see how it goes only to find it doesn't have internet tethering. That's pretty important to me in my work, so I'm a bit inconvenienced by the lack of it.
So I read on the interwebs that there's finally an update that enables it for my handset (HTC HD7)
www.windowscentral.com/updates-out-htc-hd7-mozart-and-samsung-focus-bringing-tethering-many . Other people in other countries with other carriers are getting it, but when I plugged it into its paired PC I got nothing.
Who else here uses a Windows Phone, out of curiosity?
All I wanted to do was have a quick blast, blow some buildings up, drive a tank over people... but NO I need to farking update AGAIN!!!!!
ARRRGH!!!
3.9GB! That's not an update that's the whole damn game again!
I'm about ready to go live in a cabin like a hermit.
