Here at Holland SubSea Solutions we are mad keen about fishing and everything sub-sea.

To that end we are looking at performing some video and photographic surveys (including GPS data) of recommended Perth fishing spots with our Remotely Operated Vehicles for free publication on our website.

We are initially looking for popular fishing spots (rockwalls, piers, reefs, etc.) so we can develop a section on our website.

So if you've always been curious about what's at the bottom of your favourite spot or want to know the perfect location to drop your line, give us your thoughts via this thread.

Most people's 'favourite' fishing spots are 'favourite' because they produce good fish. (Hopefully) they are not about to give away their 'favourite' fishing spot so it can be raped by the 'lazy pr!cks' to 'lazy' to go and find their own 'favourite' spot.....

I've been putting my Drift HD on the end of my line to see what's at that spot then rigging to suit. As a yak fisho not too keen to give away productive spots, every time a boat comes along we get swamped.
If you check out the Navionics ap you'll find plenty of marked fishing spots to try. Will you be burlying up before videoing?

I'm just uploading all my GPS waypoints of all my good fishing spots that I have spent the last 8 years finding. Please feel free to post all over the net for them to get thrashed and not produce fish again.

There are already to many people in boats who have absolutely no idea about finding good ground on their own, but instead prefer to drive right up next to where your fishing and ping your spot.

Good luck with your quest to get footage but just buy a decent sounder and get out there and find the ground yourself.

We Dive and have an ROV for that same purpose!

For all the hours and MONEY we have spent finding our fishing spots...
you will get nothing from me for free...or even for money....
Australian fishing is hard enough with bag limits licences and over fishing by some individuals.

Aussies can be very generous with most things and VERY tight lipped about something they hold dear.

Good luck with that SubSea Sollutions

To Clarify

We are not asking for your secret spots or the like.

Suggestions like the Mindarie Rockwall,Rotto Deepwater Graveyard or somewhere on three mile reef that we received elsewhere would suffice.

Areas that people (Not just fisherman) may find interesting.

Apologies for any misunderstanding.

If you wanted a place that is "OUTSTANDING" but an A class reserve
Which is stunning for photography and diving..you can fish just outside the reserve area. GREAT for Drift Dives
My over all choice is Mermaid Reef

But anywhere amongst the Rowley Shoals

Bedwell Island

I personally would not bother with Ashmore Reef as it has been plundered
by Indonesian so called fishing

Id be keen to see of the southern end of Ocean reef marina. Especially the part that houses the waist water outlet pipe that has now had all the defusers changed to try and break up the sediment being discharged. That is then in-turn bringing a lot more sightings of sharks in that particular spot. Also its a deep water area with a decent drop of so would be interesting for that reason as well

A bit further south there are the 2 dive wrecks, the Lena off Bunbury and the Swan near Dunsborough, both well documented and easy to locate. There are also 2 new artificial reefs close by, I'm sure all the local fishos would be interested in how the populations are going there.

Best thing is none of the above are secret spots.

Recon one of the best spots to video would be the Sambo spot off Hillarys. Huge number of Sambo's (in the thousands) and sharks between December and March. Your ROV will need to be capable of diving to 120M. But if you don't already know where the Sambo spot is, I wont be the one to tell you.
