Harking back to the IQ thread it seems that intelligence is a rich generator of mischief. I have a pet theory that natural thinking is heuristic. i.e. it notices coincidence and draws causal links between events. Monkeys, dogs, crocodiles indeed anything with a brain thinks this way as do you and I. Its natural and comes easily. However scientific thinking on the other hand is totally unnatural. It demands rigour, absolute regard for the facts, and the willingness to accept implications thus logically arrived at, even when they contradict natural (heuristic) preconceptions.
The trouble is that logical thinking is a discipline and very smart people are not necessarily disciplined. They just think with greater facility...
I wonder if Nibiru will give us more wind and new wave breaks and warmer weather

I have seen some pics that are supposed to be authentic images from the south pole region.This one is an artists rendition.
Why would the major governments of the world invest billions in a radio telescope on the south pole?? and upgrading the hubble telescope (was due to get decomissioned) to a radio telescope and point it in the same direction??

Its a crock of crap.
Its very unlikely there is a large object on a collision course with the Earth. The space involved is huge and we would have to very unlucky to get hit. Any such object is much more likely to be sucked into the orbit of Jupiter, which has a much greater gravitational pull than little Earth.
However if you believe it, more power to you. I am willing to purchase any properties you own six weeks before the collision for a reasonable price. However I will expect a large percentage discount based on the fact you will need the money fast so you can enjoy the last few weeks of life.
Maybe it is a crock..I will believe it when i see it.
This thing ( A large planet like object) isn't on a collision course with earth.It just passes through our solar system causing all kinds of havoc on it's way.Such as earthquakes,tsunamis,major cyclones and weather systems and yes....global warming.
