Hi there Seabreezers, (that can't be a word...sounds like a drink)

I don't have and can't find good photo's of the Abrolhos Islands (WA) .
I lost all my photo's years ago..You know were he takes every thing you own

So I am looking for some island shots and sea type swell shots from Geraldton to the Abrolhos...to show some one were I lived and worked and how you get there..

Hi Gypsy, I can't help but I was just looking at your photos of Broom, boy Cable has changed since 78 In those days the whole beach was free

oh wow...firiebob..love the pi****ime and tide wait's for no one!..these planes were still quite intact in the early 80's and late 80's and 90's come to think of it...my pic was taken late last year. I suppose they too will be gone soon

It sure is a magic spot I have been on a few dive charters there and have rellies that live and work there, might have to pay them a visit this summer.

I am still looking for some big sea ones..between Geraldton and the Abrolhos
you know the ones that smash the windows of your boat as you go through them..and you pray to that you get back to shore..still alive
I've had some hairy moments...going between the Abrolhos and Geraldton.

I have experienced some of those swells that you mentioned however taking a photo was the last thing on my mind at the time.
My old boat Pamala II was built in 1973 and I was told that she fished the Abrohlos region for over twenty years as the Leeman Lass.
I reckon she would have seen some big swells and have a few stories to tell.



I purchased the boat in 2000 and she was still a licensed fishing boat but I converted her and put her out to pasture so to speak (Hillarys, Rotto etc) but unfortunately had to sell her due to rising fuel costs and pen fees.



There is an excellent book called Cray Tales that had some good photo's and stories about life on the Islands. If you lived and worked there you should try and get a copy.
