Had a great day at work today, i was working outdoors next to the Landcruiser and cranked the CD player with Wolfmothers "Cosmic Egg'. couldnt have it full crank as the bass would wobble the car and stuff the player, but after 6 songs , somebody came over from a nearby factory and asked me to turn it UP.
the job was a piecework job and I managed to double my production rate for 1 1/2 hrs.
great way to finish the week

Kn awesome old school there gestalt (MC 900ft Jesus)

I used to play his "I light the fires (whilst the city sleeps)" on volunteer radio at 3am. When you are the bod in the building - or the whole campus for that matter - it's a tad creepy.

Quite diggin this toon at the mo - insanely catchy. Tres 80s re-hash but just too catchy to ignore.

and for some more ol' school

Hey gesty - I waited over 15 yrs to see New Order and they were kn awesome! Hook is still deluded he is playing in a metal band with the squating to cr@p stance tho.

Am hearing N.O. and Hook's bass sounds in heaps of toons over the past few yrs. Agree on Joy Division BTW. There is just something so raw and primal (although plasticy and electronic at times) about that brief snapshot in musical history. All timers for sure.

I got onto New Order's 'Low-Life' albulm thanks to a cassette from hotty uni age friend when I was in yr 10. Good times. Left her in Melb but still have the cassette with N.O. and Blue Ruin on it. Played it just a few weeks ago.

Hadn't really heard of Butcher birds before but not bad - in a 'Cloudsy' kinda way. Ta for the tip.

Can't mention Brisvegas without these boys crackin a mention!

and (couldn't find music is cr@p)

Not really listening to it now, but I used to like it in the mid 90's and seems like lots of topics on here kind of remind me what Al from Ministry was so upset about way back then.

I've always listened to Al Green since I first discovered him over 20 years ago - other artists come and go. No video - don't need it.

Now I'm listening to another catchy pop song.

Oooh just found another random song on the internet I like:

I don't know what pedophiles look like but I think the guy playing the piano accordion looks like one. Great song all the same.
