You wake up naked.
There are sand dunes for as far as you can see.
The sun is overhead and already starting to burn you.
...
What's your next move?

Wondering why i decided to kite wanda again, and walked through the dunes, alone.
Those windsurfing men get lonely when the wind drops off.

A tough one indeed.

I would carefully look around to assess the local situation before looking into the distance for any sign of anything except sand.

But at the same time I would be careful not to draw attention to myself, for fear the Tusken Raiders might be out on patrol.

I would be fully aware that either Hans Solo or a rebel search party would have already been mobilised to find me and I would take a short time out to meditate to enhance the power of the force to alert any Jedi that may be in that sector to my predicament.

I would also be aware the dark forces would have scout parties looking for me and any of the Sith Lords may also feel my force and be altered to my location. However, given the current predicament being taken hostage by the empire may still be better than dieing in these Jundland Wastelands.

Whilst I may be naked for some reason not fully explained my light saber would be lying half buried in the sand within 10m of where I woke up, I would therefore then start searching for it.

With a fully fuinctioning light saber in hand I would now start walking. Direction would be immaterial, all I have to do is keep walking, slouch over and walk some more. The sun will beat hotter and hotter, sweat will drip from my body and the sun will appear in close up several times.

When almost exhausted by dehydration and fatigue I will roll down a sand dune only to roll into a solid metal object ......

Was the Twilight Zone too hard to follow? I liked the Outer Limits before bed.

I would immediately and without further ado review my Safe Work Procedure for the management of sand worms.

I would also re-sign my JSA and and do a Take 5.

No doubt this course of action would reveal that the likelihood of further hazard is moderate and the consequence serious. The consequence would not rank as critical I feel, as although my life is in danger, and with it the hopes of the republic, one must always remember that good will over come evil, and with my passing no doubt there would be a new dawn. Hence the moderate - serious would reveal the situation is a level 5, orange.

From here the subsequent moves are so obvious they do not worthy further comment and the situation would be regarded as closed out.

Seriously, peeps? You wake up in a sandy desert so far from civilisation that it is a bona fide survival situation, with no idea how you got there. Yep, totally plausible hypothetical.

The aliens have always dropped me home in my own bed, they really are so considerate. Even to the point of using lube when examining me.

Close out if it weren't for Chani, who appears from nowhere with your stillsuit and the "water of life".

You wake up naked at night in saltwater, and recovering from choking.
Stars are visible over head and ~20cm below your feet there's rock or coral reef.
Your right leg appears to be chained or bound to another person.
The other person has a life vest on, and appears to be unconscious but still alive.

What's your next move?

Take their life vest and use it to sit on (reef can be unpleasant). Untie myself from th other person, and unravel the rope so as to have strings. Use a bit of flesh from the other person attached to the string as bait to lure in fish or crabs or something for bait. (yes I know they were only unconscious but they'll just be a liability, may as well use them for bait (in the absence of cats)

Turns out you're chained, the only way to free yourself is to either cut off your foot or his... it's gona be very hard to gnaw either off, and given your poor flexibility... impossible.

Using him for bait could be risky... maybe better to use him as food.

Although I have poor flexibility, I have made up for that by having good smarts and hand eye coordination. Using the other bloke as bait has worked wonders and suddenly a 5m Great white is charging down on me. At the last min I sidestroke to the side and the chain catches onto the sharks jaw as I hop on top of him. Essentially I now have a water horse with bait dragging along incase this shark collapses from exhaustion or I need a new ride.

I have somehow managed to 'drive' him by grabbing each side of his gills for steering and pointing his nose to dive or go up. I guide the shark to Fiji where I find a blacksmith to remove my chains and spend a few weeks surfing before notifying the authorities and heading home to now post this as a hypothetical discussion on Seabreeze

Maybe Flysurfer had one massive bender at the Ledge to Lancelin party and first woke up naked in the sand dunes, then sometime later found himself on the back of Eddy Island tied to a German.

I think he is just checking to see what he should have done, instead of what he actually did.
