My friend has a 30 ft boat power and is looking at a kyak to escape the wife while they are moured on Sydney harbour. Space is obviously the issue hence the inflatable. Some advice on the best option would be appreciated.

What about an inflatable SUP, he could spend even more time alone on the water , J

A two-person inflatable advertised by someone else that can be also used in rapids up to g2+ when on inland rivers; http://www.adventurepro.com.au/forums/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1337300758/2#2

Pic also shows a (white-water) kayak that I wish to sell - the blue-coloured playboat made by Bliss Stick in NZ. It is 2.2m long. Have had fun paddling this on shorter distances on Sydney Harbour, but you may need a spray-deck.
