hey a while ago on here there was a good mountain bike video with heaps of different HD cameras on suspended on wire etc. Was a really good effect. Have searched but can't find. anyone remember the link?
We got a phone call last night, offspring no.1 has been on a working holiday someplace near Whistler and Vancouver,
From what we can figure out, Tim was doing a downhill bike race of some type when he unexpectedly learnt how to fly.
Unfortunately though he didnt have time for landing lessons.
Shattered one femur, wrecked left collarbone, sundry other messy bits that leaked a bit.
Tim was flown to hospital [North Vancouver?] The leg was 6 hours on the table, now is more steel than bone, collarbone is plated as well.
Couldnt get decent info, Tim is full of morphine and thinks he will be back with his mates in a couple of days.
It doesnt matter how much safety gear you wear, stuff still happens and bones still break..............
Sandwichmaker is not impressed- and pretty upset.
stephen.

That sucks. The bottom of the Whistler Mountain Bike Park is called the Bone Yard as everyday there is at least 1 admission to the emergency room.
yep- Tim bitched and moaned about wasting his precious beer money on dumb insurance, but we insisted.
The insurance company is already picking up the [I imagine rather hefty] tab
