I was impressed by how many instruments there were playing, yet no-one was stepping on anyone else, and there was still sonic space.
The drummer (percussionist) was really skilled, that was easy to see.
And playing in a church, sonic heaven.

I quite liked Erland and the Karnivale

me too. i actually like all of the bands i posted but don't tell anyone.

although erland and the are all quality musos the drummer really stands out to me. he has complex jazz rythms down pat.

great acoustics!

are you into rock chicks?

pj harvey === overrated

Don't know the other band, don't care - heard it all before. PJ is way too cool for school - seen her too many times, tried to be cool but never quite got it, like this thread.

If we're talking rock chicks - Adalita rocks.

I like the thumbs because some people get so worked up about them and will rant and rant about them. I like the polyphornic spree - I was lucky enough to see them one night about 4 years ago. Still don't get this thread though.

I'm feeling a little melancholy right now and as this is a video clip thread I thought I'd share how I'm feeling - doesn't it warm your heart. Beautiful

Is that what nora jones looks like?

Not as overated as her old smack head pal Mr Cave.

I dunno - have seen PJ a couple of times and at a BDO many moons ago she was tops. Such a tiny odd lookin creature but a great voice. "Lick my lips coz I'm on fire!!!" Gold.

^ yeah, i don't think pj harvey is over rated either.

i like them all, magic dirt/nick cave/pj harvey..... they've all got the connection of mick harvey and their music similar. i wasn't a massive fan of cave's stuff inbetween the birthday party and grinderman though. really like grinderman.

speaking of drug problems. have you seen jason donovan in the fifteen feet of pure white snow film clip?
