Hey Laurie,

We have a new kiter at Pinnas at age 12 would be one of our youngest yet. Whatever happened to the late Mick Eastmans kids? Do they still kite? The youngest was kiting at age 5. I wouldn't blame their mum if they weren't allowed to kite anymore. So sad!

Red thumbed already Lozza???? Sheesh, tough crowd!

Good winds,

Does anybody know how old this kid was when he started?Imagine how good this kid will be at age 25.
At what age is it ok for kids to take up kiteboarding. My opinion is probably around 9-10. What does everyone else think?

I wish I started at that age. You could be powerd up on a trainer kite in 15 knots

The right phrase would be "Does anyone know how over it this kid will be at 25".

From my experience at the local skate park so far i came to these conclusions.

* The kid that is super good at skating nearly straight away and with natural skill to do just about anything disapears after less than a few years.

* The kid that showed promise but had to work at it to get his tricks down still skates there most days and may even be sponsored or pro now.

* The kid who showed almost no skill and had zero style worked at it and now has a really good style and flows around the parks linking tricks together really well.

* Your mate that sat at the park watching while everyone skates..... still sitting at the park watching while he drinks. (you can't over look this guy though, he is the go between for food, drinks and there to settle arguments. And even though he can barley hold his own siht together he seems to hold everyone else together)
