Now more than ever big brother is watching you and Mauritius is no escape. Captured here for your delectation is a glimpse of the 2012 C4 in the able hands of Ozone designer Robbie Whittall.

I probably shouldn't say this but the NASA space shuttle program was shut down to divert research and funding to the new Ozone bar. As a result of this investment, America's credit rating has been downgraded and they may never get out of debt, but I suspect that for the rest of us, the new bar will be looked back upon as one of the major advances in kiting history. Obviously I'll be dealt with harshly if I say any more at this stage ...

I'm still enjoying my 2011 bar though. Simple, clean, effective, comfy.

I'm guessing late November, could be a little earlier, and maybe even a bit into December. Nothing official from the boss yet.
I do know the new bars have begun production this week though, at last!

Yes, they will work with any 4 line Ozone kite. The new bar has undergone extensive testing typical of all Ozone products, and I'm fairly sure its been almost 2 years in development. The bar will have a push away release system, with a through the centre, fully spinning single front line flagging system, that is super easy to reload. Particular attention has been paid to bar diameter, bar grip, bar ends, bar centre hole shape and size, and strength.

I cant see how a kite could possibly be better than the 2011 C4 unless they wrote "Booooost!" Across the canopy in massive letters

Maybe the new ozone bag has a slow cooker in it that cooks lamb shanks while you are kiting, you just pour red wine into the bag and throw the shanks in.

ahh yeah it might be but you can't tell me that when a person looks for a kite, they're looking for one with a bridle. The simpler and more efficient the design the better. that is all...

Bridles on Ozone kites are short, have no pulleys, and give a very direct, "no bridle" feel to their kites, but they give greatly increased wind range and easy relaunch, and are a simple as it gets with all the features I want, IMO.

I can tell you what i want - its whether or not you will hear it......it was everything i was looking for in a kite.....AND MORE. Ride a real ''C'' kite then a C4, then you come tell me what it is you are trying to tell me.

And a leash attachment to hook the free cute little puppy up to, that is trained by ozone to pull in the hottest chick on the beach to share the shanks with

Too funny but new statistics indicate the puppy may actually be superfluous! 100% of single ozone riders on that trip (including both Kiter Tom and Rob) managed to pull hot chicks ..coincidence?? Two at a time in Tom's case!!

Hi my name is Cindy. I was so excited to hear about the new C4. I cant wait to help an ozone rider carry it to the beach. Maybe we can share a shank afterwards. And who is this "kitertom"? OMG - like what a man!

I have a 7,9 and 11 2011 C4's. I love the kite and the characteristics. But if someone told me tomorrow that I could have the C4 without a bridle and the exact same characteristics id say... FARK YEAH. Less to go wrong, THAT'S ALL. It's a hypothetical anyway. chill
