Hi Guys and Gals,

A select few had the pleasure of riding a very nice Nor Easter today at Rotto. We did a private demo day for 5 guys at Thomsons Bay behind Natural Jetty. 20-25 knots for most of the morning. We headed out from Freo at 7.15 and were kiting by about 8.15 ish.

Such a good option! The wind stayed in until a bit after lunch time. Water was warm, wind pretty good and the company excellent. We got to fly a heap of kites and had a beautiful day on Rotto.

Thanks for the invite fellas. I have a few decent photos for ya's if you care to send me your email addys.

Cheers and lets do that again soon!

Good winds,

It must have been thet day for it. First time I've been out in ......march...apr...ma...j......bloody ages!

We had glassy flat conditions here for months on end, then it threatened for the last few days and then today.... Woohoo! Out on the 9m for two solid hours before it dropped out.

It was sloppy and gusty, nothing special but still, it was a session.

I'm a happy boy.

ARGGH thats so not what i wanted to hear. today msyelf dan and my house mate drove around 4 hours in the search of a little kite mecca.. unfortunatly by the time we arrived the wind had died off completely so it was a major waste of time next time so just going to rotto.

no wind=no riding for me, whenever there is wind either school or works eats the day up. could you just put the photos on for people who havent even seen a kite fly for a month?[}:)]

As Kitehard said, it was truly a great day. A good morning Edging the Ozone.

Boy, does the body feel it today. Bigs thanks to Steve for the transport and Kitehard for the support boat and demos. We'll have to do it again one day.

Yep got to agree it was an excellent day.

All that wind and clean water to ourselves, a beach full of Ozone’s latest kites to use at will, a chase boat and then lunch and cold beer waiting on the cruiser for the trip home.

It doesn’t get much better than that.

Hey Guys,

How is Daryl's foot? Hope it wasn't too bad. Bummer it didn't happen at the end of the session.

How sweet was the tip back home compared to the trip across in 25 knots?

We got a quick dive in about 20m of water on the southern side of Rotto but vis was only about 12m and there are no fish worth shooting on the southern side..... never is!

Ended up running out of fuel on the first tank about 500m from the ramp. Burned through a whopping 24 litres of unleaded for the whole day

I'll throw some pics up once I figure how to get them off the Olympus camera (it uses a different card than my other camera.

A truly great day!

Good winds,

That 6 th photo is Gazza, he rides a small under ground board likes to get the speed going & sit back. I bought his old board from him 132 which was too big!!!!

water temp was cool but not too cold by our winter standards.

Mate, the only thing more horrific than a man kiting in Speedo's is a man kiting in a thong

For the love of GOD, don't do it!

Hey Nic I didn't see anyone @ Triggs @ 1:30 so I caught some nice waves @ Brighton while the sun was still shining :-)

I saw 3-4 guys further North as I packed up @ 3pm once it clouded over. Glad you had a good sesh

Yeah that was us......

Was fun, waves were a bit all over the place and the tide was a bit full thus sending lots n lots of backwash.

Still had fun tho.....

Brighton was good at 4pm...

I would be prepared to call it great, but only if Darren missed out.
