Who'd be a kite instructor?
Yelling from 100 meters away,
"Go the other way!!!, no, not that other way, the other other way!!!"
If she was learning she might not know better, looks like others knew better and had the camera on just for laughs at her expense. Stupid.
Should have drove it into the power lines!!!...........that would have slowed it up.
Here's an idea for a new extreme sport......hot launch with roller skates on.......
Watching this just firms up my conviction that the kiting community needs to take more collective responsibility for newbs who look like they might be about to do something really dumb. Especially those of us in populated spots run the risk of having the sport banned in our favorite spots if we don't as a group put pressure on the beginners to avoid populated beaches until they are competent.
I've had the incredible priveleged of living in a remote area for the past 2 years and kiting at my local beach 4-5 days a week with literally nobody else on the beach. Now I'm moving to Newcastle and reading about people wanting to get kitesurfing banned at Nobbys, and other places.
As a small community we're all tarred with the same brush - and unfortunately it's the idiots that will ruin it for us if we don't put pressure on ourselves.
