I tried out the new HD gopro toy today with it strapped to my head. It blew dogs off, rode the 6m, slammed my board into the rocks with the kite for good measure and generally had a ball. (except the board bit, and any negativity about that and I'll shove it up ya arrs!)

That's all, just sharing the stoke.

Anyone know how to stop these things fogging up? It seems to get all foggy right in front of the lens on the inside of the housing.

Fogging is annoying.
Basically if there's moisture inside the housing, and the camera warms up inside the housing, it's going to condense when it hits cold water, brrrrrr tassie.
My Canon UW housings fog up right in the middle of the glass lens cover.
There are a couple of things you can do help prevent fogging-
Put the camera inside the housing in a cool, dry environment, like an air conditioned car.
Put some Silica Gel desicant packs in to absorb moisture.

I take it the crappy image qualty of the first shot is just some terrible jpeg compression, not straight out of the camera?
I like the shot of your board flying up toward the kite

What pretty hands and feet you have, Sam! Is it expensive to keep them that well manicured? Or do you just get your BFF to do it for you. LMAO

That second shot is awesome. most action shots of surfboards require a rider. you've captured something special. Only a KITE surfer knows that feeling.

There is some liquid you can buy to stop the fogging up. I am sure that the other Tobes had some of it at Mambo.

Awesome stuff. Small, light day in Tassie hey?

Thanks tobes i'll try getting into an AC car to suit up the cam next time. Might even get some silica bits and rainx spray is the go apparently.

The board got smacked hard, split the bastard in the tail, rail and nose so it's now the one up for grabs for the TKSA members Got grabbed by a wave and stuck in the lines ever so well it even relaunched the kite for me.

I did resized the photos to 60kb from 2mb plus so they look **** because of that.

I did get a pedicure on the rocks sorting out that drama actually Foot, so that's why my feet look so good, nice of you to notice.

Oh and dogbones the strangle images are excellent, really catches the moment.

As for the weather, Ando said it was "Hectic" and Brady said he actually had all the depower in on a couple of occasions.

All good, having fun, cheers
