Dont mean to be a negaton here DM, but is drinking allowed here? I know its not at Mullaz beach and would hate to see your rep tarnished by it, I know there are people out there looking for ways to get us off the beaches anyway they can

Hi Infinidie,

We encourage responsible drinking and only drink lemonade, orange juice and water at our parties [}:)]

I'd be more worried about shirtlifters in the toilet block, dune crankers and also individuals with board leashes rather than a few low key refreshments. There is an easy solution. Bring cans and also everyone bring a stubby cooler.

I think the red thumb brigade misinterpreted INfiniDIE valid warning post.

I kite at Swany and have had the Fun Police make us each empty our one and only beers onto the grass. Seems pathetic to me that four +50yo men can’t have one beer in a public place after a kite sesh.

I’m actually all for them having the power to do so but geeze surely they can use some commonsense and just drive past and go and do something useful with there time.

I’ve no doubt KH’s gatherings are low impact friendly affairs but that wont stop the Fun Police flexing their muscle if they get the opportunity.

Enjoy the party (I’d still bring beer) and start to what could be a great season.

Thanks Slack, I was only concerned that if someone were to intervene, then future instances of theft at pinnas carpark might be ignored by the fuzz also.

Hey e0422713,

Winds look light on Sat, but are getting better on Sunday for the Party! Yay!

We'll have some race boards and zephyrs on hand in any case so there will be fun to be had whatever the wind.

Hope to see everyone there.

Cheers,

DM

Just a reminder that tomorrow is the Pinnaroo Season Opener BBQ, this also coincides with the first WACK event of the season too! Well done Elisha for carrying the torch (so there may be foxy girlies!!)
We will be providing Burgers, Snags, some salads, and those with a sweet skill are encouraged to bring a desert or cake along.

This will be the 2nd time we've kicked the season off this way.

For those that are interested, some of us regulars will be doing a Trigg to Pinnas downwinder aiming to meet at 12 midday to set up the bbq area and leaving at about 1pm. This is open to all intermediates and the only requirement is that you can ride toeside (just for ease of keeping up). Drop me a PM if your interested.

Other than that we'll fire up the old BBQ at about 5.30-6pm so see you then.

P.S. Darren will have a esky full of ice on hand to throw a few coldies in.

Hi Everyone,

the Pinnaparty went off smoothly again this year with a good many more new faces joining us. We had a really fantastic time with an afternoon of kiting, then feasting on the terrific food cooked and catered by Todd and "ALL SEASONS CATERING" in Ozzie Park.

If you need great caterers to help you out for an event, their food is first class and the service is excellent, at very reasonable rates, thanks guys!

Pat counted 42 kites in the air at one point as the WACK girlies joined us on the beach and on the water. Great to see so many ladies at Pinnaroo and congrats to Elisha for getting so many great girls to come along, many stayed for a bite to eat and a drink afterwards too.

Bar-B-Q fired up at a bit after 5ish and the smell brought many around. The food was great and the company was Pinnarific! I think we must have fed more than 80+ hungry people as the food ran out by about 7pm

The Pinnacrew are all first class. Thanks to the many who came along and great to see so many of the PinnaWAG's, and also all the kids who were really well behaved. Thanks also to Whitey who had all the kids dancing around under the "Big top" to some funky tunes. Even my 2 year old was diiggin' the dance lesson. Fantastic.

Top effort also to Shan who provided the Pina Colada's. What a treat!

Thanks to all involved including my team, y'all know who you are. You're fair dinkum legends!

Loved it! Same again for season closer?

Just from a bad camera phone, but it looked pretty cool coming in from the North so I pulled over and took a shot. If you're good at squinting you can try to count the kites :-) Thanks for putting on the party!
