Its finished and doing final editing says Toby.
Maybe big slow tractor kites will have a new market - I like how he can pull on one hand and not go into a multi loop back buster
So much more entertaining than the KSP World Tour strapless (yawn cutback)footage from Hookipa, keep up the good work, spectators love this stuff!:-)
And dog stylers love thinking they could one day do it. Go big, leave surfing to surfers and leave wake boarding to wakeboarders.
And here comes the red thumbs....
whats wrong with boosting big, throwing kite loops or smashing waves???
i got a little gayer just watching it...
They should have made a movie with Alvaro Onieva in Germany at the "World Airstyle Championship" it was funniest thing I've seen in a long time... He dressed up in a full length bull outfit (with mask) and went out and did all sorts of silly tricks. He ended up winning the event. (Toby said to him he shouldn't wear the costume because it was making airstyle "look silly" ).
p.s. Toby forgot the criteria was 70% height 30% technical - You can't really win when you go 5m off the water hovering downwind like a blimp.
3rd or something I think. Pretty sure Reno Romeo came 2nd. Everyone besides Toby just went in it as a joke, no-one even knew it would be on... They announced it on some website a few weeks prior.
I tried that flapping the hands trick yesterday but only went about 10 ft maybe I was'nt flapping hard enough. Notice you never see his kite? He's gotta be using some type of hot air balloon to get this amount of air time.
What ever he's using full credit to him takes alot of skill to pull off some of that stuff.
Thats cool
Any female stylers out there
whish my kite stayed seems to do what it likes if I dont whatch it
Despite how it looks he is still a highly skilled rider. Kudo's for not following the latest wakestlye/surfstyle/freestyle movement like 99% of kiters today.
Old school rocks!!
He is more skilled than I'll probably ever be. Its entertaining. Stop knocking it. If you don't have anything positive to say.........
The only time you heard a roar from the crowd at the 2005 Gero Nationals was when Aaron Jarmin went for a ride during the lunch break (yep so much wind we stopped for lunch) and pulled "handstand transition to toeside"
BEWDIFUL to watch.
I was green noob back then and I was gob-smacked.
'Ol School' is definitely the crowd appeal discipline.
@ surfingboye....
theres nothing wrong with "boosting big, throwing kite loops or smashing waves" just like theres nothing wrong with "old school"
OR anything else that fires ur jollies.
"he who enjoys most wins"
