I wasnt real happy with my last effort, so I went out and tried again. I think this one is better.

Great clip. Merging different angles in ithe clip look great. I think that the bar mount footagw worked out choice. Cant wait for xmas, my gopro is under the tree.

I made up all the rigs myself.
The bar one was made from a light mount from my bike. That one broke in the process.
The back pack is a home made from a chopping board and a few poles.
The chest mount is just the base it came with and some rope.

Heres a few pictures of camera set ups Im trying, the back pack isnt fully sorted yet as it rides up when I hit the water hard.
But the board mount wont come off unless the nose snaps

good skills and good camera angles. I liked the vid too.... I recond adding a kite mount section would be sweet. I like the bar mount. been meaning to do that for a while.

I know it would be a bit hard to do , but if you had someone to film from the beach then splice the footage with the pro-mounted footage of the same manouvers ,it would be bloody awesome . (not to say that your footage isn't)

nice one waveslave, strapped and unhooked my forte too,
the HD gopro has some siiiick footage too, been messing about using windsurfers as flag posts to jump over.

is it possible to remover the fish eye to get rid of the wide angle, doesn't do the waves any justice

If you have the Original GoPro HD Hero, set it at r4. That will give you the tallest viewing angle. I believe that's what Corey used from what I can tell...r4 will be in 720p, not 1080p. If you set it in r3 or r5, you will probably only see half of your body if it is being shot from the kite for example.

If you have the new GoPro HD Hero 2, you want to set it to the 960 resolution. You can then decide whether you want it shot at 48fps or 30fps. Select 48fps if you want to be able to later edit the film and slow down the video without it getting too choppy.

a few cable ties, some 10mm poly pipe, some 30deg fitting, glued the fcs plug in the pipe and off you go..
glassed in a sticker mount to the swivel pulley bit up the lines on my f-one bandit 3 where the lines split.. commercial kite line mount shows' swivel in the shots..
sticker mount works well, just need anti fog inserts
