Can anybody please tell me if the Coolum kite festival is on this year? If so what is the date of this event? Also is there anything planned e.g. a downwind race?

It was 'unofficially' on. Was down at Stumers a few weeks back and all these people showed up with kites.
Too bad, hopefully we will get a run next year.
