Hi, just arrived back from Cocos did a 7 day trip with Zephyr tours (fun house package).

location= this spot is amazing, waist deep water for as far as you can see and its flat an crystal clear. the tides can be a bit of a pain so if your heading over try and work around them really low tide can mean no kiting for certain hour of the day (sometimes a relief as it the only time to rest you will get). this is a really versatile spot perfect for learners if you get in trouble just stand up - pretty sure if i got lessons here i would have bin up an riding twice as quick you also have constant supervision from the team who will come an rescue you if look like you need help or maybe just give you a few tips, for advanced its still awesome theres is so much space you can go half way into the bay at it will still be waist deep water

Kite Time = i had 6 out of 7 days on the water consistently riding my 9 metre Razor, the majority of guys where riding 10/12m

Lifestyle = stayed in a house with 4 other kites (could have fit more) really nice place looked out over the runway to the ocean (if your booking alternate accommodation as you see runway view don't be discouraged the whole town is situated on the runway and you get a get view of the trees and water over the runway) shared kited huge balcony as if you do Jens package the troopy and heaps of bikes are included for transportation otherwise you can hire scooters or cars on the island

If your heading over and want some tips give me a yell or send my facebook page a message and please "like' it while your at it -

Awesome Vid Fabs

Sounds like it was an awesome trip! Not quite as good as my trip to Shark Bay but close I guess

Great to hear good things about Cocos I should get out there next year.

P.S. just got my new board yesterday Airush Monaro V4 you will have to have a go see if you can take a course race board on.

Yeh i agree flights are horrible but at the same time is it a blessing or a curse
if flights where super cheap a place like this would be super crowded and the vibe would be completely different. At the moment your guaranteed a small secluded island only having to share with at absolute max 10-12 other kiters and a few locals. Also the wind is consistent i was on the island for the first out of 60 days of consistent wind that there was no wind thats pretty amazing stats

Hey Eppo
- there are waves, really good surf break, but protected from wind so you cant kite on them. so depends on what your after.
- loving the razors i haven't tried the 2013's yet picking them up in the next few days. The new team structure looks really sweet.

RE: Hybrid_Z
I think there getting used to it - took us 5 attempts before one actually crawled out
